lescillareturnEveryone?s sad to see Chesney leave for Spain but it appears there?s been a mix up. As Roy and Chesney arrive at the airport they?re unknowingly passed by Les and Cilla. Back on the street, Cilla sees the funny side and decides to let Chesney enjoy his plane ride but as the day goes on she decides she wants her son back and tells Hayley if Roy?s not back soon she?ll have him arrested for abduction. But what has happened to them at the airport?

Elsewhere, Angela finally gets some good news from her solicitor. Following forensic reports it looks like the CPS are going to drop the murder charge. But her relief is short lived as she?s told another charge could be brought against her.

A surprise guest descends on the book club. Blanche can?t believe her eyes when her favourite author - Mel Hutchwright of Hard Grinding ? turns up on the doorstep. He?s received her letter and has come to join the discussion. Everyone, bar Ken, is transfixed and it?s not long before Mel is invited to stay at Emily?s.

And Norris enlists the help of Danny and Jamie to get rid of Jack?s pigeons. Jack is devastated when he discovers his beloved birds have gone but when he hears a flapping of wings it looks like Jack is going to have the last laugh.

Airing on Monday 2nd May 2005 at 7.30pm

It?s another tough day for Angela as she tells Craig and Keith that she has pleaded guilty to the new charges and is looking at four years in prison. Devastated Craig lets rip at his mum, telling her he?s going to be left with no one and it?s all her fault.

Ian toys with Sally?s emotions. He tells her that he and Justine have decided to make a go of their marriage before chatting up a customer in front of her and taking her number. Sally?s clearly shaken but Ian?s enjoying the tension between them and it?s obvious he?s prepared to play the long game to get her back where he wants her.

Back on the street Cilla has to come down to earth quickly. She lies to Chesney telling him they came back for him. But with no money, no sun and half the street on her back, Cilla?s finding it hard to keep up the act.

And as Mel laps up Emily?s hospitality he stuns his admirers by revealing he?s got writers block. But when he sees Janice and Cilla rowing in the street he?s inspired and declares he must stay in Weatherfield to finish his book.

Airing on Monday 2nd May 2005 at 8.30pm

Ian persuades Sally to stay for a drink after work and wastes no time telling her exactly what he wants ? her, permanently, and he?s not bothered who he hurts. But when Sally says she?s not prepared to leave her family, Ian?s just a little too quick to suggest they carry on as they are. Just as quickly, the scales fall from Sally?s eyes but what will she do?

Back on the street, Mel?s starting to take liberties but only Ken can see it. He has Norris running errands and Emily buying his drinks but they?re oblivious as he wows them with his literary tales.

Keith tries his best to get through to a devastated Craig.

And suffering with the post holiday blues, Cilla plans a Spanish night at the Battersbys?.

Airing on Wednesday 4th May 2005 at 7.30pm

Ian tells Sally he wants her out of the garage but when she threatens to call Justine if he sacks her he?s forced to try another tack. He starts by coming down hard on her for taking a personal call, criticises her every move and forces her to wash cars. Sally?s reduced to tears and tells Ian he has to stop bullying her, will Ian back down or is this only the beginning?

Elsewhere, Les manages to get his job back at Streetcars but down-on-her-luck Cilla has no such joy at the Weatherfield Arms when she tries to pretend she never quit her job. Liz is having none of it and Cilla?s left to announce that she?s devoting her time to what she does best ? being a housewife and a mother!

Candice has got herself on a TV presenting course but needs £300 to pay for it. When she asks Audrey for the cash, Audrey can?t believe her cheek and sends her packing. But a surprise beneficiary comes to the rescue.

And Keith does his best to look after Craig.

Airing on Friday 6th May 2005 at 7.30pm

Cilla?s relieved when Ciaran offers to help her get a restaurant job. She does her best to impress Mr Wong in the interview but Cilla?s gutted when he reveals she?ll be working in a chip shop. Les is thrilled but Cilla?s not happy about being the butt of everyone?s jokes. As they all come to laugh at her serving, it?s not long before Cilla starts to lose it, taking her frustration out on the customers.

At Davenports, Ian continues to make Sally?s life hell by sending her on the butty run and to do his dry cleaning. Sally?s had enough and decides it?s time she got her revenge so she pours salt in his sandwich and shrinks his suit. But will Sally?s victory be short-lived?

And Jason is put out when Violet tells him she?s going on a girlie holiday to Ibiza. He tries telling her he doesn?t want her to go, but Violet stands up for herself. Is Jason about to get himself dumped?
