15/02/2007 @ 14:48 (GMT) I hate being sick. I've just been knocked out of action for about four days due to the Flu, which royally sucked. Valentine's day has also just been and gone and Tigerreno got me some lovely flowers and balloons. Reviewing has been going slowly as I'm ill, but expect to see a review of the Antec Fusion and the Silverstone GD01MXR at PlanetX64.com soon. ---------- 29/01/2007 @ 11:41 (GMT) I passed, I passed, I passed!!!I've been keeping it a secret for a while now that I was taking my Direct Access (DAS) motorbike test because I didn't want everyone knowing about it (and it was going to be a surprise for some people), but now I've passed I can tell you about it. I took three days of training with a company called Riding in Action back in December, but my test got cancelled due to bad weather. I re-booked it for January but it got cancelled again (weather again) so I had to book it again. I had an hour practice before the test which didn't go so well. I couldn't pull off a turn in the road to save my life, and I locked up the front tire on the emergency stop (god knows how I managed to stay on the bike). Neither myself or the instructor was expecting me to pass (if we're both honest) but somehow I did, so yay! Now I'm waiting for my bike to come back so I can take the L-plates off of it, and then look at buying a bigger bike! ---------- 30/12/2006 @ 16:07 (GMT) Christmas has been and gone and now we're onto the New Year! Christmas has gone ok this year, and I've got more presents than even I think! The list includes a Robosapian (RS Media), Spud Trooper (two of them!), about a thousand cans of Lynx (are people trying to tell me something?), a cool fantasy board game, and loads more stuff. By the end of it, I was sick of opening presents, and you know it's been a good year when you feel like that! Bike-wise, the lawyers are shut for Christmas so I'm waiting for Jan to come around to start that back up again, and my Shuttle review is finally done so I can cross that off my list, expect to see it at PlanetX64 soon. So everyone that reads this, have a great new year! ---------- 10/12/2006 @ 13:26 (GMT) Apparently it happens to the best of us - last Sunday I had a motorbike crash. It happened just five minutes down the road from my house. I was coming around a traffic calming measure when I saw a car parked on my side of the road. No problem I thought, I'll just go around it. Unfortunately the driver apparently didn't see me and moved out - to pull a 'U' turn in the road and I had no-where to go. Damage to the bike includes everything down the left hand side, including my lovely decals. Luckily the Police were on hand to sort everything out - as it was the Police that pulled the 'U' turn. Damage to me includes a lot of bruising and a punctured leg that stopped me walking for a few days, and will take a good month or two to heal. So I have no transport. Unfortunately I'm only third party covered on my insurance - so I have to wait for the insurance companies to battle it out before I get anything, including getting the bike fixed - lovely. ---------- 27/11/2006 @ 18:16 (GMT) Ok - sometimes people don't shock you. My old friend has decided she doesn't want to really get in touch even after two messages, although I know she's read at least one of them. You would have thought that if she wanted to get in touch so badly then I would have been contacted by now. People suck. ----------
